Jingdezhen Hand-Painted Storage Pot with Sunflower
Made famous in 19th-century art, the sunflower did not become a common plant in China until about 1820. The bold flower, however, got its Chinese name in 1635 - following the cue of the French with a translation that means "turns with the sun". The Jingdezhen Hand-Painted Storage Pot with Sunflower is a navy and white antique reproduction. This classically styled porcelain pot can act as an accent or a vase. Its hand-painted blooms are delicately detailed.
